4 podcasts that helped me stop feeling burnt out

If I’m not on the phone or in a meeting, there’s a good chance I’m listening to podcasts while doing work. It’s the best way for me to get tons of information quickly without having to sacrifice other tasks.

Lately, I’ve been really focused on the topic of burn out in small-town business owners, something that has come up in nearly all of my chats with our clients and just business owners in general that I connect with.

With that in mind, here are four podcasts that have helped me better understand burnout and how to potentially avoid it, and may help you, too!

1. The Goal Digger Podcast with Jenna Kutcher

Why Listen: Jenna offers actionable advice on productivity, marketing, and mindset—all with a down-to-earth tone that feels like a pep talk from a sweet, long-time friend. Perfect for reigniting your creativity when you feel stuck.

2How I Built This with Guy Raz

Why Listen: While it features businesses of all sizes, How I Built This is a powerful reminder that even the most successful entrepreneurs started small and faced challenges. It’s inspiring to hear their perseverance through setbacks. And listen, many of them started small, which makes it all more practical to listen to. My favorite episodes: “Sara Blakely: Spanx” and Barbara Corcoran: The Corcoran Group

3. The Business Made Simple Podcast

Why Listen: Aimed at small business owners, this podcast delivers bite-sized tips on marketing, productivity, and work-life balance—all with simplicity in mind. It’s perfect for busy entrepreneurs who need quick, practical advice.

4. The Mind Your Business Podcast with James Wedmore

Why Listen: This podcast is a mix of mindset, personal growth, and business strategy. It’s especially helpful if you’re feeling like you’ve hit a wall and need to rethink how you approach your business (and who hasn’t?)
